The Birds boosted their confidence reaching the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup after beating GladAfrica Championship side TS Sporting 2-1 at the start of the year.
Swallows' winless run in the league, however, extended to five matches after scoring deep in stoppage time to rescue a 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch in midweek.
The Birds, as a result, remained in 14th place on the log with 15 points, two points above bottom side Galaxy.
The Rockets, however, have a game in hand as they will be playing their first league game this year after ending 2021 with a 1-0 defeat against Stellies.
Sead Ramovic's charges will be high in confidence though after booking their spot in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup with a narrow 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs.
Swallows will be gunning for revenge after narrowly losing 1-0 against Galaxy in the first round meeting in November last year in Mbombela.
