Teams: Orlando Pirates v SuperSport United
Date: 16 March 2022
Venue: Orlando Stadium
Time: 19h30
The Buccaneers have been competing in the Nedbank Cup and CAF Confederation Cup since their Soweto derby defeat to Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of March.
They head into this tie in fourth place on the league standings with 32 points from 22 games, having made good progress in their CAF group, while being eliminated on penalties by Marumo Gallants in the Nedbank Cup
A win over seventh-placed SuperSport could see the Sea Robbers move above Chiefs and into third, but Matsatsantsa will have other ideas after some good form in recent weeks as they defeated AmaZulu 2-0 before progressing in the Nedbank Cup with victory against Platinum City Rovers.
The last time the sides met was way back in February of last year, a match which ended in a 1-1 draw after Vincent Pule's strike was cancelled out by a Ben Motshwari own goal.
