Teams: Bloemfontein Celtic v Cape Town City
Date: 27 November 2019
Venue: Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium
Cape Town City will be looking to climb up the Absa Premiership ladder when they visit Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday evening.
Following a big win over Polokwane City, the Citizens were brought back down to earth after suffering a 2-1 loss away to Black Leopards before the FIFA break.
The Mother City outfit sit in 13th position with 11 points from as many games, but they could move as high as eighth with victory this evening.
New coach Jan Olde Riekerink will have to make do without Thabo Nodada and Thato Mokeke through suspension.
Celtic are also eager for a return to winning ways after registering a 2-2 draw at Maritzburg United before the international break, although they are unbeaten in their last three matches.
Last season, this clash was abandoned due to crowd trouble at the Dr Molemela Stadium before City were awarded the victory after the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee found Celtic guilty on charges of failing to provide adequate security and causing the abandonment of the league fixture.
