Teams: Black Leopards v Chippa United
Date: 08 January 2020
Venue: Thohoyandou Stadium
Cavin Johnson will be searching for his first victory in charge of Black Leopards when they host Chippa United in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday evening at Thohoyandou Stadium.
The former AmaZulu mentor started his reign at Leopards on bad note after losing 2-1 to Highlands Park this past Sunday in Tembisa.
Johnson will be looking to make an impression in his first home game to steer Lidoda Duvha away from relegation fears, as they are currently in 12th place, just one point above the relegation play-off spot.
Meanwhile, Chippa started the new year with defeat as their five-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt with a 2-0 loss to Polokwane City over the weekend.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Thokozani Sekotlong will be in line to make his debut, as he featured for the first time in Chippa's match-day squad against Rise and Shine but was not used on the bench.
The Chilli Boys won the corresponding fixture 3-0 last year in November thanks to goals from Thabo Rakhale, Chidi Kwem and William Twala.
