Celimpilo Ngema has confirmed his contract with Marumo Gallants will come to an end in June and he has no intentions of going down to the Motsepe Foundation Championship, as he wants to continue furthering his career in the topflight.
Named Player of the Season at the club's awards recently, the diminutive midfielder is understood to have attracted interest in the DStv Premiership, and the Siya crew has it on good authority that AmaZulu FC are confident that he will be their player next season.
As previously reported by this publication, Usuthu have been keeping an eye on the midfield dynamo, with the intention of adding him to their squad for next season.
"My contract is coming to an end in June. There has been talks like that, but nothing is official as yet. AmaZulu is a big team, and I would be happy to play for a team like that," the creative midfielder told Soccer Laduma. "For me, I want to stay in the PSL (topflight). I can't go down, so what I will do is try to find another team in the PSL," the midfielder recently told the Siya crew.
The 25-year-old made 39 appearances in all competitions for Gallants during the past season, 12 of which were from the club's fairytale campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup. He is now looking for a new challenge and the likely destination is AmaZulu.
