Interest is pouring in for Marumo Gallants' Ranga Chivaviro, with the possibility of the striker being lost to the DStv Premiership, the Siya crew has learnt.
The big marksman has been one of the key players in the club's attempts to move away from the relegation zone after a difficult season that has seen them record inconsistent results, although they seem to be clawing their way back in incredible fashion.
The 30-year-old has scored 15 goals from 25 matches in all competitions so far this season – nine in the league and six in the CAF Confederation Cup.
His most recent strike was against Egyptian side Pyramids during a 1-1 draw in their first leg quarterfinal fixture, played in Cairo last Sunday.
While it is believed that Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have been monitoring the player's progress with a keen eye, close sources have revealed that the forward could be lost to Mzansi altogether, with clubs in North Africa and elsewhere on the continent enquiring about his services.
"The boy is scoring and teams are enquiring on his availability. Al Ahly, Pyramids and Zamalek have all made enquiries on the player's situation," reveals a source.
"In Tanzania, about three teams have made enquiries and they are Azam, Simba and Yanga. All these teams have asked about the player's situation," the source added.
