Xolani 'Blackberry' Nkala is a kasi football sensation, loved by many across the country who have fallen in love with his unorthodox style of play and skills. The midfielder recently opened up on coach Pitso Mosimane's advice, whilst he was training with the Mamelodi Sundowns first team.

Currently on the books of the Motsepe Foundation Championship side JDR Stars, Nkala has received wide acclaim for his prodigious talents.
Few would remember that Nkala was once on the books of Sundowns-owned M-Tigers, who ply their trade in the ABC Motsepe League.
During this time, Nkala would form part of the Brazilians' first team training under the watchful eye of then coach Pitso Mosimane, who had some encouraging words for the Tembisa-born lad.
"It was a great experience. At Sundowns they gave me opportunities and they taught me a lot of things, because when I joined M-Tigers, I had a rough year. I lost my job at [Pretoria] Callies, so I started afresh and they gave me an opportunity," he told journalists at the Philly's Games launch in Tembisa.
"By that time coach Pitso was the first team coach and he always encouraged me to perform. I always trained with the first team, and it was a great experience, that is why I managed to go to the [National First Division] with TTM, because I told them, as much as I want a promotion, for now I need an opportunity outside.
"It was great opportunity because I grew from Blackberry that was a normal person to where I am now. It's because of M-Tigers and the development of Mamelodi Sundowns," he continued.
