R35m Star Leads 10 Most Valuable Players At Sundowns

With a number of high-profile signings like Bongani Zungu, Ronwen Williams and Terrence Mashego at Mamelodi Sundowns this season, we take a look at who tops the list of the most valuable player at the Brazilians.

Red-hot striker Peter Shalulile continues to lead the way in Mamelodi Sundowns' top 10 most valuable players, despite a hoard of players joining the Brazilians this season.

The 2022/23 season is the third since the Brazilians completed the signing of Shalulile in September 2020, where he was last on the books of Highlands Park.

There were concerns about whether the striker was worth all the fuss considering he was a relative novice in the DStv Premiership with his former coach Owen Da Gama at the time stating that Shalulile was worth R30 million!

With 58 goals and 17 assists in just 94 appearances for the Chloorkop outfit, Shalulile has proven to be worth all the fuss, and then some.

According to the figures on Transfermarkt.com, Shalulile's market value is currently at €2 million (±R35.2 million), which has seen him currently ranked as the most expensive player in the squad.

New boy, Marcelo Allende holds the title of being Downs' second most valuable player at Sundowns. The Chilean has settled into life at the Brazilians, with three goals in his first six appearances for the club.
