Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has made some notable changes in the team since he was elevated to a head coach position.
One of the changes made by Mokwena, who won his first game by a whopping five goals against Maritzburg United, was to play with Thapelo Morena at right wing-back instead of Khuliso Mudau. Mudau came under fire for his final ball delivery in the previous coaching arrangement and Morena showed what the club was missing, as he scored and setup a brace by Haashim Domingo in the 5-0 thrashing of Maritzburg.

However, Morena and Mudau seem to be both fan favourites, as they have both been voted in the Carling Black Label Cup starting line-up that will play against AmaZulu in the first semi-final on Saturday.
Morena and Mudau's inclusion in the starting team, voted by fans, means Sundowns will not have a natural left-back, as Rushine De Reuck and Grant Kekana complete the defence.
However, Mokwena has alluded that what has made them consistent this season is team work above the focus on individuals.
"Teamwork has led us to be consistent in the league. No one is bigger than this football club, we're just trying to serve it. When you are servants you forget a lot about yourself and the results," Mokwena told journalists in a media briefing after their win over Royal AM.
"You continue to serve and that's what we try to do as the technical team and as pure football servants. We live, eat and breathe this game and try to do the best we can for this football club.
"This game belongs to football players and the game is about the football players. I would like to give an incredible salute and appreciation to the incredible group of footballers at Mamelodi Sundowns," he added.

Sundowns have shown that they can play without a natural left-back, as Mokwena replaced Mosa Lebusa with Mudau at half-time in their 3-0 win over Royal AM, after he initially started with Morena.
However, Morena was switched to a left wing-back role and Mudau slotted in his usual right wing-back role.
