Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to make a big decision on two stars on the club's books at the end of the current campaign.
As part of the changes that took place at Chloorkop earlier in the season, Lyle Lakay was sent to Cape Town City on loan, following the arrival of Bafana Bafana left-back Terrence Mashego from the Mother City outfit.

As expected, Lakay has been impressive for the Citizens and continued from where he left off when he finished the previous campaign as one of the top players in Mzansi and selected as the PSL's Defender of the Season.
Meanwhile, Mashego has been delayed in his progress at the Brazilians due to injury. The 24-year-old has made one appearance so far for the defending champions, against AmaZulu in September, before being halted by injury.
Sources in the know have indicated that Downs could be open to the idea of swapping the two players around in another loan deal at the end of the campaign, though it is still early to decide now what might happen in over six months' time.

"Sundowns is a club that likes to have quality all the time in their team and there is always competition for places. While Cape Town City is interested in a permanent move for Lakay, don't be surprised to see Mashego returning on loan, and with Lakay going back to Sundowns. That's one of the options," said the source.
Aubrey Modiba has been the first choice left-back for Downs this season, and with Sifiso Ngobeni available as cover in the same position.
