While they have arguably the squad with the most depth in the league, Mamelodi Sundowns haven't been able to make full use of all their players, but the DStv Premiership recess could prove to be a blessing for six of their stars.

They sit pretty at the top of the table having gotten into their stride and shaken off their slump in form that saw the club make a call to reshuffle their coaching setup.
But Sundowns could receive an even further boost upon the resumption of the league.
The Brazilians have had to make do without the likes of Erwin Saavedra, Terrence Mashego, Sifiso Ngobeni, Abubeker Nasir, Brian Onyango and Peter Shalulile who have been nursing their respective injuries.
However, the break could be a blessing in disguise for these players who are understood to be making their way back to full fitness. Shalulile in particular will be a massive boost for Sundowns.
The Namibian recently resumed partial training after recovering from a hernia surgery that has seen him miss Sundowns' last eight games.

Sundowns get their campaign back underway with a match against Orlando Pirates on December 31.
