"Since the arrival of coach Miguel things have changed for him. He is using him differently from Aubrey Modiba, (Asekho) Tiwani and even Terrence Mashego. That's why he wants him to stay longer at the club which means he will be expected to sign a new contract. There is light at the end of the tunnel for Lunga now," the Siya source stated.
A second insider discussed how the club would be preparing to offer a new two-year contract to Lunga.

"It is believed that apparently it's a new two-year contract which means he will be at the club until June 2027. This also gives him the chance to compete for a starting berth as a left back with Mashego set to leave at the end of the season and Modiba earmarked for a more attacking position in coach Cardoso's playing system," the second source revealed.
According to the insiders, Lunga joined Sundowns in 2021 from Chicken Inn on a four-year contract and was involved in league games this season before sustaining an injury.
