Mamelodi Sundowns will continue to win the league until some hard rules are enforced in the Premier Soccer League, a former player of the club believes.
Sundowns, who are known to spend big to acquire the services of the players they want, have won five league titles in a row and are looking good to clinch a sixth one as they currently sit top of the DStv Premiership standings with close to half of the matches played this season.

Brian Baloyi, a winner of two league titles with Sundowns, feels that something has to be done to make the league competitive. The DStv Premiership champions are way ahead of their rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates when it comes to Premiership titles, and they are determined to take their dominance to another level by constantly setting new records.
"My honest opinion is there will never be anyone who competes with Sundowns, for as long as things are the way they are. Sundowns will keep on winning the league. Uefa came with financial fair play. Until we have financial fair play in South Africa, no one can win the league.
They can climb the highest mountain, but Sundowns will keep winning the league. By the end of the first round, whoever is second or third, Sundowns buy your players. They cripple you and you are not going to compete. These are things that we don't always want to talk about," Baloyi said.
"I have nothing against Sundowns or the owners, but if we want to have a competitive league, we need to think about doing something. People who have money like Mam'Mkhize and the Zungus can never compete with Sundowns at that level. And they are coming in at a time when Chiefs and Pirates can't compete with Sundowns at that level. So, how do you win the league?
