Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with various strikers over the past few months, including Egypt-based DRC striker Fiston Mayele.
As the January transfer window approaches, former Amakhosi defender Mokete Tsotetsi believes signing Mayele would be the perfect move for the team.

Speaking to Soccer Laduma, Tsotetsi emphasized that while Chiefs are playing well, they lack the clinical edge needed to score more goals. He suggested Mayele could be the solution to this issue.
"We have good strikers that's not a doubt but we need a striker like Mayele who can win us those tough games where we create chances but we can't convert. He has proved it where ever he has played. He did well in Tanzania for Yanga and now he is doing well for Pyramids in Egypt. We need a striker like him. It could be very good if the club can sign him in January," Tsotetsi said to the Siya crew.

According to Tsotetsi, Mayele's prior experience working with Chiefs' head coach Nasreddine Nabi and assistant coach Cedric Kaze during their time together at Yanga SC, could be beneficial to the team.
"The coach and the assistant coach know him very well and that could bring in that understanding between the coach and the player which would in turn help the team. So I think that's why also the coach has been wanting to sign him. And even me I believe that if we can sign Mayele we can win more games than we have done so far," Tsotetsi believes.
