Cool Cat Calls for Bvuma and Petersen To Prove Their Worth

"I know most of the times it's very difficult to change a goalkeeper as they are not like other players on the field. But when you feel that the other goalkeepers are not given enough chance you should change and see what results you will get," the former shot-stopper said to Soccer Laduma.

"I know Fiacre Ntwari is still new at the club but he had his chances and that's why I think Bvuma and Petersen should also be given the chance and see what they can do to help the team," Shongwe observed.

The eSwatini-born former goalkeeper pointed out Bvuma's impressive performances last season, including a run of six clean sheets in seven matches.

"Bvuma has not been really given the chance to prove himself. You remember last season under coach Cavin Johnson, he had six clean sheets from seven games at one point at that shows you that he can play well when given the chance. I think he is not really given the game-time that he deserves.

"After Itumeleng Khune he could be the one taking over and I still believe he has what it takes to become one of the best not only for Chiefs but even for Bafana Bafana," Shongwe added.
