Bucs & Chiefs Target Opens Up On Future

Bucs & Chiefs Target Opens Up On Future

With interest coming through both locally and on the continent, striker Ranga Chivaviro has shared his thoughts on the future and stressed the importance of being mature during this period.

The 30-year-old is wanted man at the moment after a strong finish to the season with Marumo Gallants, who reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup. During their fairtytale campaign on the continent, the former Baroka FC and Venda Football Academy is understood to have attracted interest from Tanzania and Libya, but Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are looking at the striker, as reported by the Siya crew.

"I would definitely consider something on the continent. Even outside the continent. I would consider it. I want to regroup, refresh. I'll think about football in the next few weeks," Chivaviro said to the Siya crew, before addressing talk of the Soweto giants being interested in him.

"Those are just rumours, especially in the world of football that we are in now. You can wake up tomorrow and Manchester (City or United) is one of those clubs that want you, so I think as a professional, you want to keep your head down. You need to be matured. It might be true or it might not be true. Stuff like that never gets into my head.

Chivaviro scored 17 goals in all competitions for Gallants and has become hot property over the last few months.

"It's a good feeling being wanted by clubs, especially with clubs outside the country. It shows that a lot of people are watching. It also shows that you are doing good things, for them to recognise what you are doing. It's a humbling feeling and it's something you never want to end. You always want to make sure that you perform to the best of your ability, to the point where there are people looking to get your services," Chivaviro said to the Siya crew.

"As to where I will be playing, I am going to leave my agent to sort that out. But for now, I want to give my family time. With the busy schedule, I have not been able to be with my daughter or my wife. I just want to dedicate this time to them and make sure that I give them my full attention."
