The Siya crew has been informed that Sekhukhune United are going to keep midfielder Sibusiso Vilakazi for at least another season.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns star joined the club in March after parting ways with TS Galaxy before the close of the January transfer window and it's been revealed to the Siya crew that management has been impressed with his contribution and the experienced footballer is more than happy to stay for another season, especially with CAF Confederation Cup action looming on the horizon for Babina Noko.
The Meadowlands-born man, who scored in the Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates over the weekend, made nine appearances in all competitions between March and May for the side, scoring two goals in this period.
"For me, I'd like to go again and have this hunger of winning games. The most important thing about the set-up is winning more games and having the foundation and organisation. Once you have your house in order, it can be taken down to the players," Vilakazi said to the Siya crew.
Another player Sekhukhune are determined to keep on board for the 2023/24 campaign is Sammy Seabi, who is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The lanky midfielder was a key figure for the club during the past season and Soccer Laduma understands that Sekhukhune are going to make an effort to keep him permanently, as they are not so keen on having him on a short-term deal again.
Do you believe Vilakazi was written off early at Bafana Bafana?
