Kaizer Chiefs transfer targets and their market values

Kaizer Chiefs transfer targets and their market values

June 2021 cannot come soon enough for Kaizer Chiefs supporters who are eager to see their team bring in some new talent to bolster their deflated squad. In light of this, we take a look at four Chiefs transfer targets and their respective market values.

As reported in issue number 1207 of Soccer Laduma, Chiefs are set to step up their pursuit of Cape Town City defender Taariq Fielies once their two-window FIFA transfer window ban comes to an end in June 2021.

The 28-year-old has been an integral part of the Citizens' set-up ever since joining the club back in July 2017, and has managed to capture the eye of Amakhosi amongst other clubs, but City chairman, John Comitis has maintained that that the player is not for sale to any local club.

According to Transfermarkt, the former Milano man has a market value of €750k (±R13.1M) although the crew recently revealed that City have slapped a staggering R8 million price tag on Fielies.

Information made available to the Siya crew is that the player has a long-term contract with the Cape outfit that runs until 2023 and Chiefs will have to fork out the big bucks should they land Fielies.

Another player that is said to be on the radar of the Glamour Boys is red-hot SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler who is in the best form of his life.

Talk of a move to Chiefs - as well as Pirates, was rife for the 32-year-old, more especially for Chiefs, who were missing the services of their top goalscorer last season, Samir Nurkovic.

Although the interest has died down on the return of the Serbian for the Naturena outfit, the Bafana striker is a man Chiefs would love to have if they are to keep up with the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns.

The player who has a transfer value of €450k (±R8M) has for the past two seasons reiterated his desire to take on a new challenge, although he would be all too glad to finish his career at SuperSport, where he recently became the club's all-time top goal scorer.
