With under a month left before the start of the 2022/23 season, Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the jersey numbers of the club's new signings.
Amakhosi have brought in Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Zitha Kwinika, George Matlou, Dillon Solomons, Ashley Du Preez, Yusuf Maart and Siyethemba Sithebe ahead of the new campaign.
It's been confirmed by the club that Mahlatsi will wear the jersey number five, which was worn by Teddy Agay Akumu, who was released by the Soweto giants after he was initially put on the transfer list.
Kwinika has taken the number four jersey, previously worn by Daniel Cardoso. Sithebe has been given Kearyn Baccus' number six jersey. Baccus has since made a move back to Australia after spending three seasons with Amakhosi.
Solomons will wear the number 18 this season, a number which coach Arthur Zwane wore during his playing days with Amakhosi. Like Zwane, Solomons is a speedy winger and has the potential to be a key component in attack for the Soweto giants.
Matlou has been given the number 22 and Ashley du Preez is taking over the number nine shirt which was worn by Samir Nurkovic.
