Khune, who knows all about performing on the biggest of stages, has been waxing lyrical about Chipezeze, who has picked up an incredible four consecutive Man of the Match awards, throughout the tournament, as well as in the final against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 37-year-old has backed the Zimbabwean to go on and claim the Goalkeeper of the Season award.
"I think it gives me satisfaction to support the guys that are doing well, not only just goalkeepers, but I'm more interested in goalkeepers than other outfield players in different positions," Khune told the Siya crew.
"I have the utmost respect for all footballers, but I'm more in love with goalkeepers because it's what I used to do and whenever I see them doing well, it gives me satisfaction. So I did send a message on. On Instagram, and I'm glad that he received it, he replied to it, and even live on television. He acknowledged that he is getting a lot of support from me and I'm happy that he acknowledges that and I just wanna say I'm proud of him.

"He must keep up the good work. And he's one of the best that we have in our league. One of the best. So I tipped him to go all the way with the same performance that he produced in this Carling Black Label Cup. To win four Man of the Match awards in a row is not child's play. I once did three and I thought it was not possible, it was not doable, but I managed to win three straight Man of the Match awards and I'm happy to see that another goalkeeper is setting the bar higher, so he's challenging the current and the future goalkeepers to say 'hey, catch me if you can'.
"I just want to say he must keep up the good work and go on and win the Goalkeeper of the Season," he added.
