With just one month left before the expiry of his contract with Kaizer Chiefs, Itumeleng Khune has lifted the lid with regards to the latest on his future.

Khune has spent the past 16 years with his beloved Chiefs but that could all come to an end on 30 June, if the club decides against holding onto the 35-year-old.
He has for the most part, played second fiddle to Brandon Petersen this season, a role he has embraced and welcomed while still remaining competitive whenever called upon.
Ahead of the Nedbank Cup semi-final against Orlando Pirates, Khune has given fans an insight into what the future could hold for him at Amakhosi, with an exit not ruled out at this stage.
"The contract is coming to an end, but what is more important is what I offer on a daily basis on and off the field – and the club will reward me based on that. If the club feels, 'no Itu, we've had enough, thank you for your service' then if we have to part ways, we will. But if the club says Itu we would love to keep you but in a different position, I'll still gladly appreciate what the club has done for me," he told MarawaSportsWorld.
"So if I have to go coach, I'll sit down with my wife, discuss it and see if I still have it in my legs. So, what I do on the field is more important."
Asked about the status of negotiations with the Chiefs management, Khune revealed that talks have not yet begun, although the crunch meeting with the club will take place at the end of the season.
"Right now, we haven't started negotiating, what's important is to finish the season on a high. So that's my main focus and the club has also given me that space to say, 'compete and play as much as you can, and when the time is right, we'll call you.'
"It's not the first time this is happening, and I've respected the club's position, they've also given me space and time to focus on what I have to do on the field, which is training good, being a good leader, leading the team because we are at a crucial stage of the season," he continued.
