Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi has explained why it would be important for Mulomowandau Mathoho to stay another season at Naturena, with the player's contract coming to an end in June 2023.
Mathoho got an opportunity to play in the Carling Black Label Cup after supporters voted for the player to be part of the starting line-up against Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic defender has made just one competitive appearance for Amakhosi this season, coming on in the final minute of the side's 2-1 victory over SuperSport United in September.
Mathoho and Sifiso Hlanti are the oldest defenders in the Amakhosi squad at age 32 and Tsotetsi feels that keeping the player for at least another campaign would be wise of Chiefs.

"It's important for him to stay another season. I am aware that the contract is ending, but it's important for him to stay another season because he is the only senior player there at the back. He would be there to help the boys understand the culture of the team and to help stabilize the defence. It's important for him to stay another season," Tsotetsi told the Siya crew.
