Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune was among a group of individuals who were part of the 2022 PSL Player Transition Programme, as he sets himself up for what's set to come when he eventually calls time on his playing career.
The Amakhosi shot-stopper was part of a goalkeeper coaching course earlier this year and it's understood that this could set him up for a job at Naturena once he calls time on his playing career.

The programme was specifically designed by GIBS (Gordon's Institute of Business Science) to equip and empower PSL players with the necessary knowledge and skills to find careers off the field after they retire.
A number of former footballers have struggled after calling time on their playing careers and the transition programme, introduced by the PSL and the MultiChoice Group, is meant to help players for when they eventually decide to take the next step in their careers.
Khune, who has been involved in business during his playing career, could serve at Naturena in a technical team position, in the senior or development side, but having the skills learnt from the Transition Programme could go a long way in making sure that life after football is a smooth transition.
