The news will be welcomed by the Chiefs hierarchy, who have begun talks with Nabi's camp over the possibility of taking up the Chiefs hot seat.

"The management of Young Africans Sports Club would like to inform the public that it has reached an agreement to part ways with its coach Nasreddine Nabi after the coach asked not to extend a new contract.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi's contract with Young Africans Sports Club has ended at the end of this season.

After the end of the contract, the leadership of Young Africans Sports Club met with Coach Nabi for negotiations to sign a new contract,

But Nabi asked to leave so he could find a new challenge.

As the Head Coach of Young Africans Sports Club, Nabi has managed to win two NBC Premier League titles, two Azam Confederation Cup titles, two Community Shield titles and lead our team to the final stage of the CAF Confederation Cup," the Yanga statement read in part.

With Chiefs set to begin their pre-season preparations next week, talks between Nabi and the club's hierarchy are expected to escalate with the coach set to take over at the helm should all go well.
