South African pop sensation Tyla recently revealed where her football allegiances lie at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA's).

The story

South African pop star Tyla triumphed at the 2024 MTV EMA's in Manchester, England, on Sunday, walking away with a total of three awards.

The "Truth or Dare" hitmaker, who was nominated in four categories, including Best New Act, secured wins for Best Afrobeats Act, Best African Act, and Best RB Act.

After scooping her accolades, the Grammy Award winner revealed that she's a Manchester United fan after being asked if she's feeling like an honourary Mancunian for what she's achieved in the northern UK city. 

"Actually, I support Man United!" she declared proudly, much to the surprise of the interviewer, who tried to catch Tyla out on her football knowledge by quizzing her on the offside rule.

"Guys, don't ask me no questions, all I know is that it's red. The shirts are red," stated the pop superstar. 

Although it's not abundantly who she supports on the local front, Tyla and her younger sister, Sydney have been spotted in last season's Orlando Pirates Away kit.
