What's the story?

Bafana Bafana legend and SuperSport commentator/analyst Teko Modise reminded younger DStv Premiership viewers of his top class technical ability in a viral video posted yesterday.

SuperSport TV shared a clip of Dona showcasing his skills before stepping into the commentators box for SuperSport United's clash against Marumo Gallants.

Let's take a closer look at the skills and Dona's drip...

Modise's elite skills

SuperSport TV sent social media into a buzz yesterday after sharing a video of Modise playing with the ball at the Peter Mokabo Stadium prior to Matsatsantsa's draw to Marumo Gallants.

Having retired back in 2019 with Cape Town City, 'The General' was known for being a mercurial midfielder in the middle of the park, gaining a cult following in the DStv Premiership during his illustrious career.

Although Modise's former side failed to grab all three points after a Bradley Grobler missed penalty, the highlight of the evening came curtesy of the Mamelodi Sundowns club ambassador.

Modise was styling in a white pair of PUMA Slipstream sneakers that went well with a green PUMA cardigan as he juggled the ball, flaunted his first touch and expressed his Kasi Flavour.

Watch:

This exhibition of skill from Dona not only reminded local football fans why class is permanent, but it also got fans feeling nostalgic over one of South African football's most talented midfielders of the modern era.
