What's the story?
The Feather Awards took place in Johannesburg last night and Banyana Banyana walked away with an award that was accepted by star forward Thembi Kgatlana.
The awards celebrate the people who inspire and empower the LGBTQI community and Banyana, a team with a number of members from the disenfranchised community, did that at this year's WAFCON in Morocco.

Banyana win a Feather Award
Thembi Kgatlana was holding it down for the women's national team at this year's Feather Awards.
Africa's biggest Gay awards ceremony celebrate all supporters and heroes in the LGBTQI Community. Former Banyana captain and SuperSport analyst Amanda Dlamini was also in attendance at the awards.
Kgatlana, who blessed the awards' pink carpet with a low-cut pink hair, accepted the prize for the Sport Personality of the Year.

Banyana were nominated alongside their star goalkeeper, Mamelodi Sundowns' Andile Dlamini and wheelchair tennis star Kgothatso Montjane.
