The story
After being conferred with an Honourary Doctorate by the University of Johannesburg last week Wednesday, decorated coach Pitso Mosimane had more reasons to celebrate on Friday.
The three-time CAF Champions League-winning coach has enjoyed a successful career both as a player and on the touchline as a coach for SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Ahly and his recent stints in Saudi Arabia.
Along with his wife Moira and three children, Pitso was joined by a host of distinguished guests and some of the big guns of African football during his 60th birthday celebration at the FNB Stadium on Friday.
South African cricket legend, Makhaya Ntini, showed up to celebrate Jingles' milestone birthday and career achievements, with other esteemed guests included ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula, Gauteng premier Panyaza Lesufi, with Ria Ledwaba, Kaizer Motaung Jr. and Doctor Khumalo gracing the event.
Pitso's former players; Ricardo Katza, Teko Modise, Tsepo Masilela, Morgan Gould, Bernard Parker, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, and Bongani Khumalo were also in attendance.
The former Bafana Bafana coach also thanked artist Big Zulu for making an appearance and shared a video of the versatile muso looking through Pitso's exhibition of his career jerseys, made up of jerseys from the teams he represented as a player and a coach.
