Pirates Release Dashing New Kit

Forming part of the adidas' Pride campaign with South African fashion designer Rich Mnisi, Orlando Pirates has released its "Love Unites" kit. Check it out! 

What's the story?

Orlando Pirates has officially released its "Love Unites" warm-up kit that was debuted in May's Nedbank Cup final against Sekhukhune United.

The kit forms part of the Rich Mnisi collaboration with adidas in celebration of LGBTQI pride that explores fluidity, colour and patterns.

Orlando Pirates x adidas x Rich Mnisi

The Orlando Pirates social media pages have officially announced that their unreal warm-up kit worn at the Nedbank Cup final is now available for purchase.

The kit is part of the Rich Mnisi brand's groundbreaking collaboration with adidas, a pride campaign dubbed 'Let love be your legacy'. 

The esteemed South African designer Rich Mnisi once wrote that reminder in a handwritten letter to his younger queer self, and now forms part the adidas x Rich Mnisi Pride Collection's core direction.

The kit is a celebration of self-expression, imagination and the unwavering belief that love unites, with the collaboration exploring fluidity, colour and patterns.

"This partnership is one part of our effort to honour the LGBTQIA+ community alongside our Global Purpose partner Athlete Ally," reads the product description for the "Love Unites" kits on the Pirates website.

The jersey is priced at R999, with the shorts costing R799 and it's made with 100% recycled materials. The kit features an array of bright colours on both sleeves, in a sort-of camouflage pattern, with 'Love Unites' written in rainbow colours in the centre of the jersey blow the club crest and adidas logo.
