The story

Orlando Pirates claimed top position in Group C with a 2-1 CAF Champions League win over Khanyisa Mayo's CR Belouizdad on Sunday, advancing to the quarterfinals of Africa's premier club football competition.

Bafana Bafana international, Khanyisa Mayo is the only South African representative at his club and was shown plenty of appreciation on his return to the country from Algeria.

Mayo, who scored in the first clash between these two sides, featured for 74 minutes in Sunday's encounter and was celebrated by the Happy People at full-time who chanted, "Weh Mayo!"

The former Cape Town City striker was not only well-received by his opponents and stadium-going fans on the day, but also adoring youngsters outside the Orlando Stadium prior to kick-off.
