Bafana Bafana striker Lebo Mothiba is officially back into the national team fold for the first time since 2019.
His reaction to making the final 23-man squad was perfectly captured by Racing Strasbourg, with a teammate showing Mothiba that he's been selected for Bafana's September friendlies.

Mothiba's reaction to Bafana recall
For the first time since 2019, Mothiba will be donning the Bafana jumper come September when Bafana Bafana take on the DR Congo and Namibia at the Orlando Stadium.
This is also Mothiba's first selection since Hugo Broos took over as Bafana head coach and he'll be eager to impress the Belgian after a positive start to life under Patrick Viera at Strasbourg.

Mothiba also has AFCON experience after leading the line for Stuart Baxter in Egypt and his experience could prove vital for Hugo Broos' men in the continental showpiece hosted by the Ivory Coast in 2024.
Racing Strasbourg keeper Matz Sels was the one who showed Mothiba that he's been recalled to the national team and went on to congratulate him with a big hug.

Mothiba is well-loved by the club who went as far as posting him with Bafana's upcoming fixtures for their fans to keep an eye out for their star striker.
Speaking of Strasbourg's fans, they serenaded their South African star with his own chant after he secured all three points in a Ligue clash against French giants Olympique Lyon.
