Masandawana owner Patrice Motsepe has been recognised by global culture publication, Complex, as one of nine top black Billionaires in the world.
Motsepe is one of two African-based Billionaires on the star-studded list that includes sporting icon Michael Jordan and music moguls Jay-Z and Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Patrice Motsepe: Black billionaires list
Mamelodi Sundowns owner and CAF President Patrice Motsepe is featured in Complex's top black Billionaires list for 2023.
The 61-year-old has a reported $2.9 billion (Over R49.7 billion) net worth, and is placed third on the list behind richest black person in the world, Nigerian business magnate, Aliko Dangote and American Robert Smith.
The Sundowns boss is placed ahead of TV, Media Film juggernaut, Oprah Winfrey. And the rest of the list features Rihanna, Michael Jordan, Jay-Z, Tyler Perry, and Diddy.

According to Business Tech, Motsepe is the third richest man in the country behind Johann Rupert and Nicky Oppenheimer.
Motsepe is the founder and chairman of African Rainbow Minerals, and according to Forbes, became a billionaire in 2008 the first black African on the publication's lucrative list.
In the 90's, Forbes mentioned that Motsepe became the first black partner at law firm Bowman Gilfillan in Johannesburg, and then started a mining services contracting business.
And in 1997, he bought low-producing gold mine shafts and later turned them profitable.
