The story
After getting back to scoring ways in national team colours on Friday in Bafana Bafana 2-2 draw with Uganda in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Lyle Foster received a Goal of the Month award from his club, Burnley FC.
The English Championship outfit announced on their social media channels on Tuesday that Foster's goal in their 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers, was voted as the Goal of the Month.
Foster scored a thunderous header in the East Lancashire Derby last month to give the Clarets an early opener against Benni McCarthy's former club.
It was Foster's first goal of the Championship season, adding to his solitary assist in four appearances so far. Take a look at header:

Hugo Broos will hope for a full season of goals from Foster after a disrupted 2023/24 campaign, as the Belgian tactician is likely to rely on the Pirates academy graduate to lead his line when Bafana take on Congo Brazzaville in October.
