What's the story?

Lionel Messi's move to the United States has been a fruitful one so far. Not only has he helped propel his new Inter Miami side but has attracted a wealth of new celebrity supporters.

Since making his Inter Miami debut in July, a host of A-listers including Kim Kardashian and Leonardo DiCaprio have taken time to catch the Messi show.

Let's take a closer look at the celebs Messi has attracted to football in the US...

Messi draws Hollywood crowd

Similar to how the showtime LA Lakers led by Magic Johnson during the late 70s and throughout the 80s and Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls in the 90s, Messi is introducing the glitz and glam to football in the US.

His debut for Inter Milan in the League Cup not only featured a perfectly scripted ending, but also drew a high profile crowd with stars such as LeBron James, Serena Williams and Kim Kardashian to the match, which perfectly set the tone for celebs to get their fix of Messi Mania.

In his third MLS match over the weekend, Messi balled out in Los Angeles for the first time for Miami and attracted members of royalty to sports and entertainment icons.

Among the high-profile names on-hand included Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as LAFC part-owners, actor Will Ferrell and aforementioned NBA and Lakers icons Magic Johnson and LeBron James.

Rap legend Nas, and actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Edward Norton, Gerard Butler, Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire made an appearance at the BMO Stadium.

Other music stars like Selena Gomez and Tyga were also in attendance to watch Leo. In New York a few weeks ago, NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, rappers Fat Joe and French Montana couldn't resist to see the World Cup winner in action.

DJ Khaled's son got the opportunity to walk out with Messi a month ago and seemed to have been overcome with emotion during the experience, with Leo showing fatherly nature by consoling the child:

The legendary Argentine has already managed 11 goals in all competitions for the David Beckham co-owned Inter Miami and has already helped them win their first ever trophy by winning the League Cup.
