The story
As Bafana Bafana's highest capped goalkeeper (92 matches), winning seven major honours and the 2012/13 PSL Footballer of the Year award, Itumeleng Khune was rightfully regarded as SA's number one for large parts of his career.
Although he's yet to find a club after his contract with Kaizer Chiefs expired at the end of last season, Khune is still an active footballer and is eager for a new challenge.
In recently shared content with Nedbank for the Nedbank Cup, Khune still showed that he carries plenty of self-belief when he was asked to blindly rank Mzansi-based shot-stoppers from the past and present.
With five goalkeepers to rank, the former Kaizer Chiefs captain placed Elvis Chipezeze in fifth, his former Bafana teammate Moeneeb Josephs in fourth and 11-time League winner Denis Onyango in third.
After initially placing Bafana captain Ronwen Williams in first, he soon changed his mind to place himself in first place and the 2024 Yashin Trophy nominee in second.

Khune seemingly had a blast at the Orlando Stadium over the weekend, watching Orlando Pirates outclassing Motsepe Foundation Championship side, Baroka 3-1.
The 37-year-old attended the game as part of his work with Nedbank and was accompanied by his wife, Sphelele, where they viewed the action comfortably from the suite.
Khune also took part in 'Mini cage football' match with a lucky Pirate supporter who was awarded with suite access as a Nedbank card holder:
