The story
Botswana international captain Thatayaone Ditlhokwe has officially been unveiled by Al-Ittihad, with the defender set to wear the number 4 jersey at his new club.
Kaizer Chiefs shocked many by announcing an agreement reached with Libyan giants for the transfer of "TT", who took time to send a lovely parting message to the club and its passionate supporters.
"What I will miss the most is the connection that I had with the players, home will always be home," noted TT, adding:
"I want to take this opportunity to thank the chairman for giving me the opportunity. I will always be grateful and it was a privilege for me to be part of Kaizer Chiefs."
"To the supporters, I thank them so much for the support they showed. Amakhosi for life," added the former SuperSport United man.

Ditlhokwe, a Botswana international and captain of the Zebras, joined Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of the 2023-24 season from SuperSport United.
Over the course of his 18 months with Amakhosi, the 26-year-old made 32 appearances in all competitions, primarily as a left-sided centre-back and, more recently, as a left-back under coach Nasreddine Nabi.
Ditlhokwe played his final match for Chiefs in their a 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
Here's what the supporters on social media had to say on Ditlhokwe's move:
TT Ditlhokwe couldn't believe his eyes seeing the figures in his contract that they are 10 times more than what Orlando Pirates offers Saleng pic.twitter.com/fzSr6Eopov

Kaizer Chiefs doubted TT Ditlhokwe, now that he is going out to a more serious team they are howling. Hypocrites

Building a team doesn't mean you should stand on players way if other teams come searching for them especially when the offer is good!

You got TT Ditlhokwe as a free agent and you get an offer of R15m+ i rather sell than losing him for free when his contract comes to an end.
This transfer makes so much sense and with Dove back from injury, albeit still needing more time for match fitness but I can't blame them for selling TT rather than losing him on a free. And we got him for free so it's good business

Players like TT Ditlhokwe are getting sold while Maart is still at the club??
— PrideUTD?? (@unitedfelloff_) February 14, 2025
This one of the transfers that broke my heart. Why are you selling players without a backup plan?

Thank you so much TT, you've served the club with honour and pride????
