Mashamaite, who's involved with football again, revealed that he took a sabbatical from the game to further his studies and to consider his future.
"I have a BA in International Relations. Now I'm about to complete my Sports Management studies, through a program run by FIFA," reveals Mashamaite who harbours more studying ambitions.
"Upon graduating, I'm hoping to complete my Sports Law diploma, it's also an international course run by FIFA," he says.
Mashamaite wants to give back to football in a different way from most former players and sees himself as an administrator in the future:
"But my biggest goal is to do a FIFA Masters course. I want to get into administration. I feel there are a lot of players that get into coaching, but we don't have administrators. In Europe, the likes of Nedved, Suker, Maldini are in administration," he adds.
His International Relations degree was completed 15-years-ago, before his breakthrough at Wits, showing that the Limpopo-bred legend has always planned ahead for life after football.
