Let's take a closer look at the art...
Mabasa's art gift
The 26-year-old baller thanked the artist Mnisi for his special gift, which was a portrait of the ex-Pirates star done in scribble drawing.
The portrait appears to be drawn from a picture of Mabasa in action for Sekhukhune:

As mentioned Mnisi has done work for Bafana Bafana legends Modise and Tshabalala, as well as artists Oscar Mbo, De Mthuda and other celebs such as Somizi and Shaun Stylist.
Mnisi's abstract lines and shapes are what makes his drawings so unique, it's both playful and loose but the outcome looks incredibly structured and complete.
With Mabasa's work, Mnisi rebirths an older picture to transform it into a thing of contemporary art beauty. Although it is scribble drawing, it somehow doesn't look as messy or sloppy as a lot of artworks of this nature can be.
