Kaizer Chiefs legends and Nedbank Cup ambassadors, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Stanton Fredericks, were engaged in a debate about the treble-winning teams of Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

With an the season nearing its conclusion, only two teams stand in what promises to be mouthwatering NBK Cup final, league champions Mamelodi Sundowns against defending champions, Orlando Pirates at a sold-out Mbombela Stadium.Both clubs have winning a trebles in common, the only clubs in the PSL era to do so, with both needing the Nedbank Cup to carve their names into history.

Downs clinched their second domestic treble in 2022, having secured their first one in 2020. They equaled Pirates' efforts, who lifted three trophies in 2011 and 2012.
