The story
Aubrey Modiba's foundation is officially ready for business after the Masandawana star took to Instagram to share the well put-together website and the venture's social media pages.
The newly-launched Modiba Foundation is committed to positively impacting the lives of people in need through "information, empowerment, skills development and providing the necessary resources and mentorship," reads parts the foundation's mission statement.
Modiba's foundation will focus on food security, early childhood development, opportunities for the youth, support for pensioners, awareness/support for people living with disabilities and of course, sports and recreation.
It's no surprise that the Limpopo-born baller is eager to give back. In 2020, he joined teammate and close friend Grant Kekana and legend Edward Motale is donating food parcels to families in Ga-Mamabol Mentz in Polokwane, with the two reportedly spending R20 000 each of their own money to help fund the initiative.
Soup and Christmas drives form part of the programmes this foundation wishes to support, along with donating school shoes, running football clinics, donating clothes and the famous charitable event, Mandela Day.
