Fans in Cape Town are invited to go down and support their favourite local clubs as the Engen Knockout Challenge gets underway on Friday – here are all the details you will need!
It is all systems go this week as Engen, in partnership with SAFA Cape Town, kicks off what promises to be another exciting season of the Engen Knockout Challenge.
Ahead of the start of the three-day tournament set to take place at the Erika Park Stadium between 7 and 9 June, the official fixtures of both the Boys U18 and Girls U20 divisions have officially been announced to mark the start of the tournament.
Defending champions Cape Town Roses kicks things off with a mouth-watering fixture against Magic Ladies in the 14h00 kick-off, before UWC faces Spurs UFC in the marquee fixture of the day at 15h00.
In the boy's division, all eyes will be on Stellenbosch, who lifted the title last year, as they face Hellenic. Earlier in the day, Cape Town City face Salt Rivers Celtics, while Cape Town Spurs will take on Vasco Da Gama in the fixture of the day.
Day 1 fixtures:
Engen Knockout Challenge ambassadors Brighton Mhlongo and Thabo Senong will be attendance on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as confirmed by organisers.
How it works…
A total of 32 teams, equally divided into Boys (U18) and Girls (U20), will battle it out to be crowned provincial champions and subsequently secure a place at this year's Engen Champ of Champs in September.
