Orlando Pirates sealed top spot in Group B after thrashing Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 in their final MultiChoice Diski Challenge group game at the Galeshewe Stadium.
Pirates took the lead in the 15th minute thanks to a powerful finish from Thabo Rakhale, after a well-worked move by the Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers continued to dominate in the second half, and eventually doubled their lead just before the halftime break, as Menzi Masuku converted from the penalty spot.
Sfiso Myeni came close to adding a third in the 56th minute, as the winger did well eliminate a couple defenders before seeing his shot saved.
Letsie Koapeng added Pirates third in the 75th with a composed finish from 12-yards out, after a delightful dummy from Masuku.
Siphesihle Sangweni rounded off the scoring in the 82nd minute with a clinical finish from the edge of the area.
Pirates proved too strong for Sundowns, who struggled to create any meaningful openings throughout the 90 minutes.
However, both teams were already through to knockout rounds of the tournament.
