Mpumalanga Black Aces secured the bronze medal in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge after beating SuperSport United 2-1 on Saturday morning.
After a cagey opening, Aces had the first effort at goal in the 15th minute, as James Bell's volley sailed inches over the crossbar.
Aces went ahead in the 29th minute, as Zanele Mbiyozo caught the SupeSport defence napping to sneak in and head past Dumisani Msibi from thee-yards out.
SuperSport leveled matters with their first effort on goal in the 35th minute courtesy of lobbed finish from Kwanele Zulu, after a defensive mix-up from Aces.
However, Aces hit back just before the halftime break courtesy of a well-taken finish from Darren Lurie, the striker curled home a low effort past Msibi from the edge of the area.
SuperSport's task was made tougher 10 minutes after the halftime break, as goalkeeper Msibi was shown his second yellow card for the handling the ball outside the area.
Laurie proved to be a handful for the SuperSport defence and he was presented with another chance in the 74th minute but the striker fired his straight substitute goalkeeper, Keagan Poole.
It was a quiet game for Aces shot-stopper, Cyril Mollo, but he had to be at his best to keep out Mpho Mbebe's deflected effort in the 83rd minute.
AmaZayoni managed to see out the final stages of the game with relative ease and picked up the bronze medal.
