Mamelodi Sundowns progressed to the semi-finals of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge after beating Polokwane City 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Brazilians started with a couple players from their senior side, which included Rodney Ramagalela and Percy Tau.
Polokwane had a chance to open the scoring inside the opening 10 minutes but Sundowns shot-stopper Thela Ngobeni was on hand to deny Sakhile Ngubo.
Sundowns opened the scoring in the 24th minute courtesy of wonderful free-kick from Katlego Babile that left goalkeeper, Kgothathso Masha with no chance.
It took a while for Sundowns to add a second goal but it arrived 10 minutes after the halftime break as Tsepo Ntlaba volleyed home from close range.
Polokwane failed to trouble the Sundowns the defence in the second half and failed to register an effort on target, while they also ended the game with 10 men as Kgopane Maboko was shown his second yellow card in the 90th minute.
The Brazilians saw out the second half with ease and now join SuperSport United, University of Pretoria and Mpumalanga Black Aces in the semi-finals.
