MDC Final Report: University of Pretoria (2) 2-2 (1) Mamelodi Sundowns 28 February 2015
MultiChoice Diski Challenge Final   Result: University of Pretoria (2)-2(1) Mamelodi Sundowns   Date: 28 February 2015   Venue: Nike Football Training Centre   University of Pretoria were crowned MultiChoice Diski Challenge champions after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 on penalties.   It was AmaTuks who got off to better start, as Botshelo Mfulwane turned home a fine cross from the left to give his side the lead in the 11th minute.   Sundowns hit back in the 20th minute courtesy of defender Rheece Evans, who headed home Parcy Tau's free-kick.   The Brazilians nearly went ahead in the 33rd minute but Ntlaba's deflected effort from 12-yards out forced Ngubeni into un-orthodox save with his foot.   AmaTuks continued to dominate possession after the halftime break and should have restored their lead in the 50th minute, but Lucky Mathosi placed his effort wide of the mark from six-yards out.   Sundowns squandered a great chance in the 67th minute, as some great work by Ntlaba and Tau down the left teed up Mpumelelo Hlatshwayo, but the midfielder failed to connect with the ball from point-blank range.   The Brazilians grew towards the end of the game, as Tau had more influence of the game but poor finishing from the Downs attackers forced the game into extra time.   And it was Sundowns who went ahead in the eighth minute of extra time, Rodney Ramagalela got beyond the AmaTuks defence, before slotting into the far corner.   AmaTuks drew themselves level with 10 minutes left of extra time, as Ngcobo converted a penalty to send the game into a penalty shoot-out.   After a number poor penalties from both sides, AmaTuks managed to triumph 2-1 in the shootout.   Here's how they lined up:     University of Pretoria: Ngubeni, Nkwana, Kekana, Robertson, Sibande, Nzimande, Motlhatsang, Ketjijere, Mfulwane, Ngcobo, Mathosi   Mamelodi Sundowns: Ngobeni, Evans, Babile, Zulu, Skippers, Matima, Mbhele, Ngubane, 'Cheeseboy' Mokoena, Ntlaba, Tau
