The striker signed for the Absa Premiership champions on a three-year deal from Chippa United during the final days of the transfer window last month.
Manqele was handed a starting berth against Jomo Cosmos on Sunday and was instrumental in the 4-0 win, picking up two assists in the process, while first team head coach, Steve Komphela and his assistant Doctor Khumalo, were in attendance as well.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns player could have marked his first Chiefs appearance with a goal but he failed to beat Cosmos goalkeeper, Keagan Wentzel, in the closing stages of the second half.
Manqele was not the only first team player in action, as Lorenzo Gordinho featured in the defence, while former Moroka Swallows defender Levy Mokgothu captained the side.
