Chiefs' Title Hopes Dented, Bucs Bounce Back

Moroka Swallows 0-4 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates ended their four-game winless run after drubbing Moroka Swallows 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Dobsonville Stadium.

Mbekezile Mbokazi broke the deadlock for Pirates around the half-hour mark, Gosiame Ngobeni and Mohau Nkota scored two quick goals before the break to make it 0-3 at half-time.

The Buccaneers ran riot ten minutes before time after Aphelele Nzimande 4-0.

Joseph Makhanya's charges are lying third on the log, seven points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kaizer Chiefs 1-3 Cape Town Spurs

Kaizer Chiefs dented their chances of challenging for the title after a 3-1 defeat against Cape Town Spurs on Sunday afternoon at FNB Stadium.

Amakhosi dropped down to fourth on the log, nine points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, with five games remaining.

Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 Chippa United

Mamelodi Sundowns returned to winning ways after beating Chippa United 2-0 on Sunday morning at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Keabetswe Ramotsei broke the deadlock for Sundowns on 73 minutes and Thando Buthelezi secured maximum points with the second goal five minutes later.

The Brazilians only retained a two-point lead at the top of the standings.

TS Galaxy 2-3 SuperSport United

SuperSport United clinched back-to-back wins after edging TS Galaxy in a five-goal thriller on Saturday morning at Tsakane Stadium.

Lazola Maku gave United an early lead that they preserved until half-time.

Lucky Muthewi doubled the lead for Matsatsantsa early in the second stanza and Thabang Mahlangu gave them a 3-0 lead with 22 minutes remaining.

Galaxy got two late goals but it was too little too late.

Richards Bay 1-1 Sekhukhune United

Richards Bay's three-game winning run came to an end after a 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United on Sunday afternoon at Chatsworth Stadium.

Sfundo Khanyile opened the scoring for the Natal Rich Boyz on 18 minutes but Tsotetsi equalised for Babina Noko three minutes later.

Polokwane City 1-1 Golden Arrows

Golden Arrows extended their unbeaten run to seven matches after a 1-1 draw against Polokwane City on Sunday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Asanda Mjilo opened the scoring within five minutes for Arrows but Lesiba Mello levelled matters for Polokwane on 64 minutes.
