Chiefs Secure Back-To-Back Wins, Bucs Sink Stellies

Stellenbosch 1-2 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates bounced back to winning ways after a come-from-behind 2-1 win over leaders Stellenbosch on Sunday morning at Malta Park Sports Ground.

After a goalless first stanza, Quwan Plaatjies broke the deadlock for Stellies two minutes into the second stanza.

However, Mehluleli Maphumulo levelled matters for Pirates with 18 minutes remaining, snatched the winner in stoppage time and completed his brace.

Joseph Makhanya's charges reduced the deficit behind table-topping Stellies to just two points in fifth spot.

Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 AmaZulu

Kaizer Chiefs won back-to-back matches after edging AmaZulu in a five-goal thriller on Saturday morning at Dobsonville Stadium.

Amakhosi, who also extended their unbeaten run to five matches, remained second on the table, equal on points with leaders Stellenbosch but having an inferior goal difference.

The Glamour Boys have a game in hand and would go top should they win, after Stellies were beaten by Orlando Pirates.

Usuthu are lying tenth in the standings.

Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 Golden Arrows

In-form Mamelodi Sundowns won their fourth game in five matches after thrashing Golden Arrows 3-0 on Saturday morning at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

A brace by Ntokozo Siquba and another goal by Tshiamo Masisi handed Masandawana maximum points, as they climbed up to third in the standings, one point behind table-toppers Stellenbosch.

SuperSport United 5-3 Richards Bay

SuperSport United won two games in a row for the first time after thrashing Richards Bay 5-3 on Saturday morning at TUT Stadium.

Thabang Mahlangu and Thabang Makubo scored two goals apiece for SuperSport while the other goal was scored by Keenan Bezuidenhout.

Thandolwethu Dube scored a brace for The Natal Rich Boyz while the other goal was scored by Sithembiso Makhaye.
