Chiefs' Winning Streak Halted, Bucs Lose Ground On Leaders Downs

Kaizer Chiefs 1-1 Golden Arrows

Kaizer Chiefs' three-game winning run came to an end after a 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows on Saturday morning at Dobsonville Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Njabulo Hlongwane broke the deadlock for Chiefs on 65 minutes but Samukele Mlaba levelled matters for Arrows 15 minutes before time.

The Glamour Boys remained in fourth spot on the table, nine points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Orlando Pirates 0-0 TS Galaxy

Orlando Pirates dropped points for the second consecutive game after playing to a goalless draw against TS Galaxy on Saturday morning at Rand Stadium.

Pirates remained in third spot on the table but they now trail leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by five points.

Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 Cape Town Spurs

Mamelodi Sundowns maintained their top spot on the table after a resounding 4-0 win over Cape Town Spurs on Saturday morning at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Keabetswe Ramotsei opened the scoring for Sundowns on 15 minutes, Siyabonga Mabena doubled their lead early in the second stanza and Onele Rulwana put the result beyond doubt just before the hour-mark.

Mokoena rounded off the scoring for the Brazilians four minutes before time.

Sinethemba Badela's charges are two points clear at the top of the standings.

Polokwane City 1-2 SuperSport United

SuperSport United won their fifth game in six matches after edging Polokwane City 2-1 on Sunday morning at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

After City took the lead, Oratilwe Moloisane levelled matters for SuperSport on the stroke of half-time.

Thabang Makubo snatched the winner for Matsatsantsa late in the game.

Stellenbosch 4-0 Royal AM

Stellenbosch consolidated their second position on the table after drubbing Royal AM 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at Idas Valley Stadium.

Mervin Boji scored twice in the first stanza to give Stellies a 2-0 lead heading to the break.

Tyler Cicero made it 3-0 for the hosts early in the second stanza and Quwan Plaatjies rounded off the thrashing midway into the second stanza.

The Cape Winelands side are just two points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in second spot.

Moroka Swallows 1-4 Richards Bay

Richards Bay ended their five-game losing streak after thrashing Moroka Swallows 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at Dobsonville Stadium.

Thandoluhle Gazu, Wandile Ngema and Ntlonelo Bomelo all scored in the first stanza for the Natal Rich Boyz.

Thabisa Ndelu got the fourth goal for the KwaZulu-Natal side early in the second stanza.

Swallows scored a consolation goal in the dying minutes.
