Chiefs' Winning Run Ended By Sundowns, Stellies Remain Top

Mamelodi Sundowns 2-2 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns could not win four games in a row after they played to a draw in a four-goal thriller on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Chiefs got an early lead but Tshiamo Masisi equalised for Sundowns just before the interval, handed them the lead a minute later and completed his brace.

However, Amakhosi ensured the share of the spoils after they levelled matters in the second stanza.

The Brazilians extended their unbeaten run to eight matches while the Glamour Boys went seven straight games without defeat.

The Tshwane giants remained second on the log, two points ahead of third-placed Amakhosi, who have a game in hand.

Stellenbosch 3-2 Sekhukhune United

Stellenbosch extended their lead at the top of the standings after edging Sekhukhune United 3-2 on Sunday afternoon at Idas Valley Stadium.

Stellies had a comfortable two-goal lead inside the first 16 minutes courtesy of Kyle Bailey and Cheswyn Philander.

Sekhukhune pulled a goal back ten minutes before the break but Jeandre Gaffoor restored a two-goal cushion for the Cape Winelands outfit 13 minutes before time.

Babina Noko reduced the deficit again in added time but Stellenbsoch held and extended their lead at the top of the log to three points.

Magesi 1-3 SuperSport United

SuperSport United won their fourth game in five matches after thrashing Magesi 3-1 on Saturday morning at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Thabang Makubo gave SuperSport a perfect start with an early lead, doubled their advantage and grabbed his brace just after the interval.

Bohlale Ngwato sealed the three points for Matsatsantsa with 25 minutes remaining.

Sechaba Khota scored a consolation goal for Dikwena in the dying minutes.

Chippa United 2-3 Richards Bay

Chippa United lost their fifth game in a row after a narrow defeat to Richards Bay in a five-goal thriller on Saturday morning at Chatsworth Stadium.

Ntlonelo Bomelo gave the Natal Rich Boyz an early lead but Chippa levelled matters just after a quarter of an hour.

Bomelo restored the lead for Richards Bay just before the break, quickly made it 3-2 and completed his brace on the stroke of half-time.

United pulled a goal back in the dying minutes but it was too little too late.
